As a Mediator, I make space for conversations from which the parties can find options to move forward, creating a fresh perspective from often a negative, angry, stuck place to a more future focussed workable solution which can bring relief and resolution to a difficult situation.
With my Employment Law advice, I work with you to create a solution which works for your particular workplace or employment issues. Whether that's preventing a future potential problem and lessening a risk for you and your business, or resolving a live challenge and looking at the lessons learned, with a future focussed pathway to avoid similar challenges in the future. I enjoy helping navigate the seemingly endless people challenges in business and matching the options available with the values and the priorities of your business.
As a Trainer, I love meeting new people with new challenges, bringing my extensive experience of real life situations to the workplace to build awareness and introduce tools to support both personal and organisational growth. I have worked in a training capacity, building, presenting and facilitating seminars and learning since I was thrown in at the deep end to present the topic of "Introduction to Employment Law for New Managers" to a business audience in my first year as a Trainee, many moons ago. As my experience has grown, I understand the need to be impactful and intentional and I support others to be the best that they can be, for themselves and for the business.

My Background
I am an Accredited CEDR Mediator and have been an Employment Lawyer for over 20 years. I have a unique all-round experience having advised employees (at city and boutique firms as well as charities), employees (private practice and leading trading in firm) Boards (in-house and external), Governors, schools and Charity Trustees (some as a fellow Trustee) and many other individuals in strategically resolving issues, disputes, culture, training and transformational change. I offer a variety of services including Mediation, Employment Law and HR Consultancy, Investigations and Training.
Mediation training was the obvious next step for me as I have always advocated the Courts and/ or Tribunals are the last resort. I have found over the years that they don’t bring what people and/or organisations need and/or desire. I am now a CEDR Accredited Mediator and here to help you.
Throughout my career I’ve seen the ripple effects that employment and workplace challenges and disputes can create. The services I offer, help you navigate through tricky situations, offering effective and often creative solutions, encompassing important conversations that need to be had to move forward, managing reputations, stress and costs on the way, on a confidential basis.
Whether it’s building awareness, educating, or resolving disputes that is your need, my aim of making a difference and putting people and business at the centre with effective communication and understanding is the golden thread that binds all of the services that I offer.
These services will bring you the solutions you need. They offer a strategic, proven way of creating value for you, put together from my experience and insights as a Litigator to being part of a fundamental Team In-House continually building and shaping the business. I understand and care about the parties welfare and the outcome for you.
A combination of mediation skills, business knowledge and legal expertise as well as an interest in human behaviours gives me a unique perspective on what parties want and need. My extensively varied background as an Employment Lawyer means that I understand the legal disputes landscape and I can see the pressures on both individuals and businesses from being in conflict and help you navigate a better outcome. Helping parties reach the best possible workable solution is my aim whilst reducing the inevitable stress, time, costs and fall-out as much as possible. As a Trustee of South East London Mind, I am very aware of the need to look after the mental health of the nation and achieve balance in life. Workplace and employment issues can add to do this. I help to alleviate the impact in a constructive way.
